History of Elecon

The story of Elecon starts somewhere arround 1994. Founders of Elecon hotel are Mrs Eleni and Mr Costas (Constantine) who live in Polis since early '70s and they operate the petrol station of Esso in Polis. Their dream was to create a tourist enterprise for their three daughters, Andri, Skevi and Maria. The name Elecon comes from the initial letters of the names ELEni and CONstantine.

The first block of apartments (now Block B) operated at the summer of 1994. The second (and bigger) block and the swimming pool operated at the summer of 1997. Today Elecon has 29 apartments and studios.

Elecon is a family run hotel. The personnel combines traditional hospitality and professionalism, because the key personnel have studies in various tourist professions. Also, there are many travel agencies, mostly from the UK, that cooperate with Elecon, and this alone is a clear indication for the quality of services that Elecon offers.

Elecon in operation

Elecon operates mainly from April to November, but it can host visitors the whole year, because all apartments and studios are equiped with blankets and they are fully air-conditioned. The swimming pool operates only from April to November.

It operates under the rules of Cyprus Tourist Organization (CTO) and it is rated as an "A" class.

The location

Elecon is very close (5 minutes walk) from the center of Polis. The center has the market, various restaurants, caf�, bars and shops. Next to Elecon there are also many shops. Within a very short distance from the hotel there are many wonderfull beaches.

Polis is the most significant city at the western coast of Cyprus and it is very close to Pafos and to Pafos International Airport (about 35Km). It is a well known tourist place for domestic and international tourists, and it offers all the necessary facilities for the people who visit the city.
